Cost: $65 per night W/E (as of Sep. 2024)

+Located near many wineries, 35 minutes from Sonoma and 1 hour from San Francisco.
+Sites were small without a pit or grill. Our table was broken but usable.


+Private shower rooms and individual toilet and sink facilities.
+There were no campground amenities.

Additional Comments: Although the campground had no amenities, the park itself has a couple of trails to hike and the Martha Walker Native Habitat Garden.

Elk Country RV Resort & Campground
Trinidad, California

Address: 216 Idlewood Lane, Trinidad, CA 95570
Our rating: ****
Cost: $168 for 3 nights W/E/S (Aug. 2022)

+Conveniently located 6 minutes from Redwoods Visitor Center.
+We had a large corner campsite with a great view of the elk. We also had a picnic table and fire pit.


+Bathrooms had coin operated showers that cost .75 for 3 minutes. 
+Campground had no amenities besides small office and store.


Additional Comments: If you want a unique camping experience, make sure you reserve the corner lot at this campground, get yourself a comfortable camping chair and enjoy the view!
